The stated comparison is according to the actual listings Bill. The 3 sellers that you mentioned were all very strong sellers for ebay, now they sell on Jackpot. ALL THREE sellers have great reputations throughout the chip & strike communities. They are all fair and honest dealers, and YES...they are either part of...or related to members of Jackpot. I don't see why that should not make their listings part of a fair comparison.
We realize that ebay is a giant in online auctions...but the truth is, when that comparison was made...Jackpot had MORE Strikes listed than ebay. They will have their good days, and we will have ours.
Another comparison that you might be interested in:
Nearly ALL Strikes on Jackpot close as "SOLD"...while on ebay...just over 50% actually sell.
Another comparison:
Nearly all Strike listings on Jackpot start at WELL below face,(most actually start at 25 cents or less)....while on ebay, most Strikes start at face or ABOVE...which probably explains why many don't sell on ebay.
The cost of doing business on Jackpot is considerably less than on ebay, and the sellers,(even the 3 you mentioned) apparently have more confidence selling on Jackpot. The average Strike gets about 8 bids on Jackpot...the average Strike on ebay gets about 2 bids. And if you check the listings, you will see that the variety of Strikes on Jackpot is quite impressive.
We are not trying to blow our own horn...of claim any dominance over ebay. We simply stated that at that particular time...Jackpot had more Strikes listed than ebay, and I stand by that!
Best Regards,
