Re: Cleaning Strikes
In Response To: Cleaning Strikes ()

Oh yes, no problem with cleaning your Strikes at all. You will not damage them even if you used a buffing wheel in a real badly corroded one. I have done it and made them look like brand new with buffing rouge. However the easy and quick way is to visit "JP" at his website http://www.jpscorners.com and order a Jar of his Coin Cleaner and a Pair of the inexpensive Plastic Tongs. This is a dipping solution of a very caustic acid to "Stainless Steel' but will not harm your Strikes. Follow the simple instructions about dunking them into the jar and letting them sit for about 30 to 45 second and them dry them off with a piece of soft cloth. Now if you have some definite dark spots thqat seem unwilling to come off, use a smooth cotton cloth and rub some BRASSO on it very harshly and I will assure you that they will sparkle like diamonds in a "Billy Goats Butt". Don't pay any attention to all the BS you will get from these so-called "Know-It-Alls" that hang around and post all day and night on this Bulletin Board. JP by the way has a Toll Free Phone you can call and place your order after looking at his website. Tell him the "Old Man in Katy, Texas" said for you to call.

Good Luck - Phil Hilton, A collector for over 20 years. I used to sell on EBAY aka hummer1982 so check out my feedbacks.
