You are indeed correct about eBay fees. However, it should be noted the example you selected was for Fixed Price Auctions only. The Auction style Final Value Fee structure is:

Final Value Fees: Auction Style
Closing Price
Final Value Fee

Item not sold
No Fee

$0.01 - $25.00**
8.75% of the closing value

$25.01- $1,000.00
8.75% of the initial $25.00 ($2.19), plus 3.50% of the remaining closing value balance($25.01 - $1,000.00)

Equal to or Over $1000.01
8.75% of the initial $25.00 ($2.19), plus 3.50% of the initial $25.01 - $1,000.00 ($34.12), plus 1.50% of the remaining closing value balance($1000.01 - closing value)

I believe it is also way too high. If one tries to recoup fee costs from ebay and PayPal along with actual shipping charges, you are accused of outrageous s/h charges. Simple math on a $10 purchase of a silver strike weighing 2 oz with $3 S/H is $.35 list fee, $.88 final value fee, $.68 paypal fee, and $1.34 actual shipping cost. That's a total of $3.25 without including the bubble envelope. Yet, many consider the $3 S/H as too high while in reality it doesn't recoup costs.

Just two more cents worth.
