Re: i did not set up my page - sorry - u know it's
LIVE FROM IOWA CITY. When I was young, back in the 50's, we had relatives coming for a visit from Ohio and they wanted to know if they could bring us any canned goods or blankets or anything from "back east". They thought we were really isolated out here in the wild west of SOUTHERN IOWA. And I can't tell you how many times when I check into a motel and say I am from Iowa they will say "Oh, I know someone in Boise, how is the potato crop this year" or "I stayed in Cincinatti one time". Sometimes I am convinced that people on both coasts are definately "not smarter than a fifth grader" and I don't mean one of those brainiacs on the TV game show I mean one of the fifth graders who grew up eating paint chips and were frequently dropped on their heads when they were babies. I know some of the Hawaii stories my college roommate's sister used to tell when she went to college in Hawaii. People thought they spoke a different language there and drove on the other side of the road. OH WELL, it takes all kinds. That makes the world interesting. Ga'day mates. Randy in IOWA. CORN. SOYBEANS. COWS. PIGS. HAWKEYES. BARNS & SILOS. Oh yea, and a few STRIKES.
