wrong investment

I think my post got deleted somehow this morning at 2:00 am because I can't find it anywhere on the board. I will repost what I wrote this morning. I was investing into a safe commodity and looked up on the yellow pages for some gold/silver/platinum bars or coins when I found what looked like a legit seller. I contacted him and low and behold the place of business was at his home. That should have raised some red flags but I looked at his stuff anyway and he told me that these silver strikes were an ounce of silver a piece and that they are redeemable anywhere at any casino. I trusted him in what he had to say because he sounded like a trustworthy fellow. He had silver strikes of .999 fine and pure silver that date back before 2001 (none of them are hsp). I learned later from reading much on this site that it was not true. The silver content of the $10 dollar strikes pre-dating 2001 is .67 silver I think. I feel like I was taken as a fool. Did I make the right investment? I know I should have done my homework before buying into this. Maybe somebody would like to trade silver/gold coins or bars for these silver strikes? I am willing to take a loss and trade 100 silver strikes of fine and pure silver for 80 ounces of silver bars or even one ounce of gold or even make an offer of trade?(not strikes) I wish I would have studied this before making my investment purchase. I paid $12 for each strike and they are the older kinds which I think are .67 or are they .60? Anyway please respond if anybody is interested and if so, I will post the strikes on here Sunday morning since I am right now at work. Thanks guys.
