Greetings,
Once again it is that time of year in which the CC>CC membership conducts the Silver Strike of the Year Awards competition. This year's contest will again be restricted to strikes manufactured under the IGT program.
Once again, we have a Viewing Site that may be used to view eligible strikes, however the site depends on up-loads from collectors who have scans of the eligible strikes.
This is a request for those who are interested to visit the site and up-load images of their favorite eligible strikes, and/or up-loads images of any eligible strike(s).
The site accomodates the up-loading of two separate images (obverse and reverse) at the same time and when they are displayed, a viewer can flip back and forth between the two images.
The image can also be clicked on and an enlarged view of the strike can be then be seen. I would suggest image scans of at least 150 x 150 dpi (or better).
I will also point out that although the formal Nominating and Voting process requires CC>CC membership, there is no restriction on who may be permitted to offer images to the Viewing Site.
It is interesting to note that the ten Finalists from last year's competion were also displayed at the Viewing Site and a majority of Silver Striker member nominations did come from StrikePoint participants.
Lastly, is there some way to scan strikes without the silver portion being black?
Thank you,
Jim Follis
