I think 1935, when we still had silver dollars (I think). I miss silver coins, just had such a nice feel, even when they were worn out. I think that is what made me start collecting silver strikes, instead of just winning silver strikes. I don't mind the new $1 coins, actually carry a few all the time now, great for tips and tolls. But can you imagine the holes in your pockets if you carried 4 or 5 of the old Peace dollars or Morgans's? Glad we don't have to do that.
