U have to put money ( coins) in the machines....this in what we call a fill. The fill gets subtracted out of the profit of a machine( there is more to it but this is the simple vers).if the coin has a higher face value the machine is less profitable.when gaming oks a program in a machine they take the fills as well as the denom and the hit frequency and percentage and calculate it out. Once it is set in stone we can not adjust at all. If we do they can close us down.so don't think of it as what we pay for the strike think of it as what gaming approved 15 yrs ago.the program for a 10.00 game is different than the other out there.....just look at the play mechanics of the other non 10.00 games.... Remember this was a simplified version I could go on for hours about how machine paybacks are set.
