Just returned from a bus trip to Tunica. I knew they no longer had any strike machines but thought I would try talking to the cage managers and see what I could get ahold of. Unlike Las Vegas where talking to the cage workers at casinos that no longer have strikes and getting blank stares or given a rude "NO', the cage workers in Tunica were all very nice and helpful! At the Sheraton, thinking they would only have a few strikes I asked for all they had. The cage manager said she had $2200 of the Zodiac and $1770 in the Space. She said she would go through them and give me one of each set so I bought 22 strikes there. Turns out the Zodiac's had two mint marks 'S' and 'GDC' I wound up with 6 of each. The Space were all 'S' mint marks. At Harrah's the cage manager said she had 100 - 150 strikes from Tunica and other Harrah's casinos. I bought 5 Harrah's, 2 of them Harrah's Mardi Gra from when they had two boats she also sold me a Circus Circus, a Lady Luck and a Ballys. Then on to Hollywood. The cage manager said she had over a 100 strikes and would sell me one of each so I bought another 10 strikes there. After I was back at the hotel I found out Hollywood had Limited Edition as well as Ten Dollar Redeemable so I didn't really get everything but did pretty well. If you are headed to Tunica check with the cage managers!!
