I get so many every day, that I don't even pay attention or count anymore. It's because people who don't use anti-virus software, don't know they are the source.
It's taken from their computer cache, not address lists as some assume.
The return address is "spoofed" which means writing back, does nothing and likely will get a bounced mail, because that address is a fake.
I use Netscape mail, so all I get is a blank message. I also use Norton anti-virus and update weekly. Eudora will also protect you.
Since I participate on a number of BBs on a daily basis, I win the boobie prize.
132 emails this morning, at least four contained an attached virus. (I recognize the subjects) Of 132 messages, six were from people writing to me, the rest were Spam.
