Good points from Greg. We can all handle a rare off topic post. It happens all over the chip BB and is moderate. Posting personal views or news, now and then, is part of any BB and interesting to a collecting community.
Messages about auctions or tokens for sale, end up being part of the interest here. It's also a way to learn about other items and the values.
Why should all of us bite our tongue, because ONE disruptive person posts the same off topic messages, over and over?
Why should regular readers and posters be subjected to the abuse and attacks of ONE person, who is on a regular basis, calling us names, using rude and vulgar language.
Why should we have to restrict our messages, because of ONE person who is abusing their privilege to use the BB. Or for that matter, scaring away new people because of a bully who can't just have fun with the rest of us.
Sorry but many, many other bulletin boards have a very fair system. 1st Offense) Email warning that behaviour is outside accepted standards. 2nd Time) A one month cooling off period, to reflect on behavior. 3rd Time) Banned! Bye Bye...
This should be a place where varied people, with a mutual interest in collecting, can get together, without fear of attack or being subjected to rude childish taunting.
