Jeff this is the most common question ask by a newbie. Nearly all silver strikes are made Medal aligned. Both sides of the strike have the same "top". If you turn it over like turning a page in a book it is still right side up. If it is coin aligned and you turn it over like turning a page in a book the back side would be upside down. Take a quarter and flip it end over end and you will see it is alway right side up. Turn the same quarter sideways and it will be upside down (coin aligned).
