My girlfriend, my friend, and I stayed at the Golden Phoenix Friday November 15th. It was recommended by Kitty Stoops.

I liked the location, and the hotel seemed pretty nice but very restricted on access since the casino wasn't open yet.

It was a real bummer to not be able to get room service at 1 am when we rolled in from a night of gambling.

We ended up having to walk down that seedy street on the side, through a group of scary looking people blocking the door into a liquor store for snacks.

Valet was also a pain in the ass. It sucks having to wait 1/2 hour to get your vehicle, then when the guy finally shows up, you have to wait your turn.

I know its a new hotel, and details need to be ironed out, but I just thought you would like to know.
