Re: Grand-Minnesota Question
In Response To: Grand-Minnesota Question ()

Hi Jerry,

I have seen the item in question and they are slightly bigger than the $2.00 brass strikes that came out of the nickel machines. They were as James says offered by the casino in sets of four. From the definition decided on by the club they are not strikes. But they are nice looking. As for the Hinckley & Mille Lacs MN Grand Casinos. They did put out a set of four $10.00 strikes with the reverse designs of Bears, a Mallard Duck, a Moose and an Eagle with it wings spread open all dated 1996. These four strikes did not have a casino location on them and are included in the guide as generics. But if my information is correct they were designed by local artist and each of them were signed by the respective artist and are the only $10.00 Grand strikes that are signed. These same four designs are used in the set of four (almost) two dollar size tokens you are referring to in your question. I don't think they were ever used in the Grand Casinos down south. If anyone has any more information on these strikes please let us know.
