If you look at this series closely, the dot and the no-dot as it is called, you will find other differences on the no-dot, namely the font style and size. Very difficult to see, but once you notice them they are easily told apart. This dot and no-dot issue is found also in some $7 strikes. The Flamingo stikes are actually different coins, with different dies. That does not say there are some strikes out there that have faint dots, there are, but check closely and use a magnifying glass. Also check the .999 fine silver font.
