I played the silver strike machines at the Mirage Casino today and won 66 $10 strikes and four $40 strikes. I went to the Main Cashier to exchange 60 strikes for three of the $200 strikes. There was an older strike mixed in with the 60 and the cashier said he would have to get the approval of a slot Supervisor to accept the older coin. The Lead Supervisor, Clyde Freeman happened to be walking by and the cashier called him over. Mr. Freeman said he could not accept the coin because he couldn't substantiate that I won the strike while playing the machine. I told him I wasn’t about to lie to him over one strike, but he refused to allow it to used for exchange. After Mr. Freeman left I told the cashier that I would go over his head to complain and the cashier told me he was the top man. Very sad for the Mirage if this guy is their top slot person. So I went back to Mr. Freeman and told him I would post a message on the Strikepoint about what I thought about their customer relations.
I played the machine for over two hours and Mr. Clyde Freeman even signed for one hopper fill while I was playing. The one coin does not hurt the Mirage or me but I believe that Mr. Freeman should have used common sense and okayed the exchange. I think it is very poor customer relations on Mr. Freeman’s part as I felt he did everything but call me a liar by denying me the exchange.
I am going to send this message to the Slot Department and any other post that follow unless you ask me not to use your post.
