I have done very well with jewelry cleaner and a camera lens cloth on the silver portion..Cleans up minor tarnich extremely well...Use only on the silver and dont let the cloth tough the brass as well...It can be done with cleaner too as long as its a separate piece of the cloth > Silver portion should look like new..Brass never seems to come out quite as well..Airtight containers work great and they dont scratch easily like the cheap ones form the slot machines.
