From what I have been told, IGT is planning on rolling out their new Silver Strike machine within the next year. The current Anchor machines are no longer being manufactured. Right now casinos that want a Silver Strike machine have to find a used one (remanufactured). The new machine holds strikes in a variety of "tubes", each of which could hold a different strike or other item. The larger case is designed to hold strikes or other items (jewelry, etc.). An advantage of the new machine is that it is designed to be basically jam-proof since the hopper is eliminated in favor of the "tubes". What was on display at the show may not be the final machine, but conceptually it is where IGT is going. If anyone is interested, I do have one of the IGT promotional strikes that I wouldn't mind selling privately. Otherwise, I will probably put it on eBay in a week or two.
