Are There Any Left Out There Who Collect..........

Tokens? I realize that token collecting will probably never be as popular as chip collecting. Most of you will probably say that tokens are ugly because they are so beat up. I agree. In fact I totally agree. However, finding tokens in nice shape is a real pleasure. Machines that take tokens are getting few and far between. Soon slot tokens will be a thing of the past. Gone will be that golden sound of tokens hitting the hopper. Gone will be the weight and feel of a few tokens in your pocket. In many ways this is a real shame.

Tokens are fun to collect. The search is half of the fun of token collecting. There are many, many, slots only casinos that existed over the years in Nevada. Some were open for a long time and others closed within a couple of months. How many of you have heard or seen the casino that issued the token pictured below? It is not particularly rare, but I would be willing to bet that many of you have ever heard of the place. There are at least 50 different places that issued tokens in Las Vegas alone you probably have never heard of and this is probably true of the people that live in Las Vegas. Tokens from the large casino's are easy to find. There are tokens out there that have never been cataloged or heard of. The fun of token collecting is finding the ones that were small "mom and pop" places that issued tokens. Think about collecting tokens. Fun in this hobby can be found in many places.

Putting in a plug for myself: I do buy/trade tokens that are nice. I also look for pictures of places that used them. I would like to have a picture of the place for the token below.
