Hi all, I just got back from what I call the Reno, Tahoe loop. This is a one day trip in which I go after the newer issues of strikes, It's seven hours of driving fun with silver strike action in between (fun, fun, fun). Imagine my disappointment because I didn't hit any 777 jackpots! Oh well some day....
First stop was Bill's in Lake Tahoe. After depositing $50 bucks I left with four new 15th Anniversary strikes. Back on the road again.
Second stop was Sierra Sid's (should have kept on going). I got 1 strike with my first $20 and 1 strike with my second $20 (both 2001 issue) and a fat ZERO with the next $40. With my head hung low and my tail tucked I took the two strikes to the cage to get the two $40 each strikes changed for the 2002 issue and was told at the cage they were out of them? She said to try again in a few more days and they would have more (I don't know if she was pulling my leg or not) Sid's machines have always been kind to me so I guess it was just the odds catching up with me. On down the road again.
Thrid stop Reno airport. The machines display case had the Reno Arch issue and the R E N O issue but I could not see the back of the strikes to see if they were the new issue or not. So I sat down and all that came out was the 2002 issue (but four were the older 2002 issue). After depositing $160 I had 19 strikes (I was now over the Sid's fleecing me thing). I got two "R", six "E", five "N", four "O" and a blue artch "N" & "O".
Any one up for a trade? I've got 3 Bill's dupes & 13 clear case Reno airports, plus a blue "N" & blue "O". Please email me if you are interested.
Thanks
John Burton
