Recently I listed some of the new red caps on Jackpot Auctions and there were some of the collectors who buy the red caps off me said that they would pass on these as they do not want to collect HSP strikes.

It seems that the collectors were happy when the strikes were silver content although their value at the time silver was $5 an ounce was probably only $2-3 a strike. They at least had a melt down value. When silver hit $20 an ounce collectors had a strike that had a melt down value of around $10-12 and a collectors value of the strike which would be pushed up as a result.

It seems that it would be better to go to a $20 silver strike with the same silver content as the current $10 strike. Ten of these for a $200 would work just fine.
