This is my Silver Strike story . All names are fictional and any similarity to any person is purely accidental.
Meeting of the minds.
Bossman: I know we have allowed bidding on your own item but unfortunately this privilege has been abused and it has to be eliminated. What I need you gentlemen
to do is devise an acceptable way to shill bid that the public will accept.
Andy Doozy: First I have an announcement to make. I know it is Richard Bebum who has been writing the graffiti on the restroom walls. I went to the other restroom down the hall and I seen the word "BABY" written in CAPS on one the graffiti messages. I seen the same word written in CAPS 9 months ago. I think the attendant of this restroom should permanently ban Richard from using it.
Mary Waters: Did he dot the i's and cross the t's?
Danny M. Els: I have received several allegations of graffiti posting by Richard Bebum. I have been investigating these allegations for over a week now. With the new information supplied by Andy Doozy combined with other information that was un-covered this morning....prove beyond ANY shadow of a doubt that Richard Bebum has indeed been writing graffiti since July 2, 2000. All the pieces to the puzzle now fit together.
I routinely monitor suspicious activity such as new graffiti , addresses, phone numbers, etc. This particular person went to great lengths to conceal these multiple graffiti writings. Using anonymous names and other information to try and fool me. Will I miss his graffiti? Of course...but I will not tolerate these actions just for the sake of others who enjoy reading them. Therefore Richard will be permanently banned from using this restroom.
Marv Kopp: You can see his spelling of the word #%&$**@# and in the other graffiti he spelled the word %$^&%%&. He always spells these words this way. I know it's him and you can't convince me otherwise.
Norman Clamdigger: Marv, why don't you use your energy to finish that report that you started two years ago.
Rick Over: Marv, grow up. I have been reading Richard's graffiti for years now and I see nothing wrong with it. And I will continue to read his graffiti at the restroom down the hallway.
Dennis Swim: I think he used permanent ink, but over a period of time it will wear off.
Pete Porous: I do not read graffiti until someone else has read it first. This way I know it is safe to read.
Greg Wong Su: Come on guys. Why can't you skip over the graffiti that you don't want to read and just read the graffiti that interest you.
Richard Bebum MARV . I HAVE WRITTEN OVER 6000 GRAFFITI'S WITHOUT A SINGLE COMPLAINT.
Bossman: It has been a long day. We will continue this discussion about shill bidding at next months meeting.
This is why I collect Silver Strikes.
