I hope they folow thru with the redcaps being silver as well as the $200.I think the hobby will survive if they do that much plus come out with interesting strikes. So many times we hear of Vegas visitors who pick up one or two strikes as a souvenir of their trip. Those eventually end up in pawn shops or coin shops because they still have some value with the silver content. I wonder what will happen with the plated tokens a few years down the road. I really hope the casino managers will put forth some effort to make strikes that are interesting to collectors and not just have their restaurant strikes and the such. How many Vegas visitors want to go home with a strike promoting some restaurant in a casino? A few, but not many. Those strikes are OK to have as the ones you play for and trade for a $200. Maybe the casinos should ask strikers for ideas on different series that could be put out. We would need some guidence on what is allowed legally and it would be nice to have some input with the gaming commision about ideas. My biggest concern is stil the lackm of any silver value in the strikes and how that will affect the strikes that now end up on ebay or at shops because of the metal value, even if it is only a few bucks. I mean,try taking in a silver plated token to a pawn shop or coin shop and see what they offer you. Most likely neither didly nor squat.
