I agree with all your points. You've been watching Richard a lot longer than I have, so I know you speak from experience. I agree with you completely; if a dealer has a minimum amount he wants for a item, he should either set it as the minimum bid or set a reserve. Shill bidding is unethical and should not be tolerated, and I firmly believe Dan Mills did the right thing banning Richard from Jackpot Auctions.

That being said, for me, collecting is a series of opportunities. If I get a chance to buy something I want or need at a good price, I will take it. From now on, I will be much less inclined to bid on one of Richard's auctions, but the right opportunity arises, I will probably take it. I will, however, be much more wary of shill bids and will not continue to bid on an item if I even suspect shill bidding.
