I go into this Albuquerque Pawn Shop and show the owner a silver strike and ask him if he has any of them for sale. He says yeah, but their at home and I'll bring them in tomorrow. C'mon back tomorrow. Six months later and a dozen visits to the shop and he still has'nt brought them in so I decided this guy was'nt worth the effort! About a month later I decide to go back looking for a tool that I need and low and behold he has 35 strikes there in the shop! I look through them and find four I need. He wants $15 apiece for them but I have to buy all 35! I told him $15 was too much to pay for "traders" that might sit on my trade list forever but I would still like to buy the four from him. He decides he's going to put the "screws" to me for not buying all of them and says you can have them for $20 apiece. Normally I would have just left but went ahead and gave him the $80 for the four strikes. Two of the strikes were actually worth about $25. (Obsolete). The third was a Hacienda Horse & Rider and the fourth was a $28 Rio Rita! Not exactly a "grand coupt" but the "fun" part was being able to turn the tables on that Pawn Shop dealer when he thought he was actually putting the screws to me!
