I was at Harrah's in Kansas City, MO. I put $10 in their strike machine and sat down to play. I wasn't familiar with the strike machines, I hadn't played them more than once or twice before. I hit something and strikes started to fall out. Something like 7 strikes fell out when the machine indicated that the hopper was empty. I put the strikes in a slot bucket and waited for the attendant. She came, filled up the machine, closed the door and left. Another 20 or so strikes fell out of the machine before it indicated that the hopper was empty again. I gathered those up and waited for the attendant. When she started to refill the machine, she noticed a large black piece of plastic laying in the hopper. She recognized that something was wrong and called for a technician. He looked at it, mumbled something about the limiter being broken and told me he was going to have to shut off the machine and I would have to play elsewhere. I mentioned that the front of the machine said that it still owed me 3 strikes. He reached in, pulled out 3 more strikes and handed them to me. As you can imagine, I was DELIGHTED!!!
