When your Executive Board Officers were elected, it was to carry out the duties of those offices for a group of adult collectors. It was not as a few (very few) people believe that we were to be playground supervisors, mothers, fathers or the police. I know that most of the membership believes that we officers have acted responsibly and they do not call for our resignations every time something does not go their way. On the Strike Board we have seen the worst, but also some of the best or our members. If my brother and I had gone to my mother when we were little and I said, "He said a bad word and it was ________." My mother would have washed both our mouths out with soap!
You will see at the end of this I will have put my full name as I am not ashamed of what I say or to whom I say it. I would wish that some of the rest of you would do the same. I do not know the person who called for our resignations is even a Silver Striker Chapter member as he did not know whom we were. For anyone who does not know, please look in your bimonthly newsletter and we are all listed. You will note that some of our names appear more than once because whe have taken on the responsibility of more than one job.
Some guidelines:
No Profanity!
No namecalling - leave that for young children who do not know better and the politicians.
There is too much commercialism. I have no problem with you saying you have strikes to trade or sell, just ask people to contact you by E-mail or your webpage.
We have a lively bulletin board with many hits. I want to keep the do nots to a minimum.
