As The OTY Awards Chairman, I am aware that the IGT Silver Strike Program is NOT what it once was. However, the 's Silver Strike of the Year (SSOTY) Awards Program does continue on, and in the face of the IGT changes, we need to redefine what is considered eligible for SSOTY Award consideration for the next SSOTY Award cycle; SSOTY 2008.
The current definition of eligibility states:
"Silver Strike of the Year eligibility criteria: Simply stated, an eligible Silver Strike is one made by IGT under their trademarked Silver Strike program."
I am looking for the opinions of the Silver Strike collecting community on what the "eligibility" criteria now needs to be.
Thank you, and please post here for open discussions.
