The California has had posted in the local paper here in Las Vegas in the legal classified about the deadline for redemption of chips and tokens that will no longer be in use or accepted for the last 3-4 months, and states that if the listed tokens and chips are not redeemed by that date, they will no longer be accepted or redeemed. Last year, I also seen several other casinos have the same listing, and specifically listing the silver strikes in the ad, and if I remember correctly, the first one I seen stated that due to gaming commission laws, the public notice must be in published at least 120 days before the deadline for redemption.
