Re: Oct 15 deadline for "silver" strikes?

Dave & others,

Please correct me if I am wrong here------

The Nevada gaming commission - as I understand it - as well as the gaming commission where I live here in Louisiana and probally others in the USA. Requires a casino to accept AMY money type items - silver strikes, chips, tokens, etc issued by the casino. To be redeemed at their face value ANYTIME the item is presented for redemption at the casino. Unless the NOTICE OF REDEMPTION requirements has been met.

The said casino HAS to post a NOTICE OF REDEMPTION at the casino where it is easlily seen by everyone. As well as advertise publicly outside of said casino (newspaper, etc) this notice of redemption. That the said casino WILL NOT accept for payment/redemption. The certain money item that was issued by the said casino that is described in the notice of redemption. AFTER a certain lenght of time and/or after a certain date. If I remember right this is 6 months from the date the notice of redemption was 1st published. The date is usually at the end of the perscribed time limit.

If before this published date a person has not gone to the casino and redeemed the item. YOU ARE STUCK WITH IT unless you can find someone else who wants it. SO Dave you, me, and a bunch of others has something(s) that a casino DOES NOT WANT ANYMORE.
