Re: Mint update--I have NO plans to stop collectin

Probally would be TOO expensive in the long run. Everybody NEEDS TO REMEMBER the silver strike program is not kept in business by just the silver strike collectors --club and otherwise.

The TOURIST who plays for the strikes wheather 1 or a few. Is really the ones who does the most to keep the silver strike program alive. You make the playing of silver strikes to EXPENSIVE and the tourist will not play the strike machine. That was a problem with the $1.00 SS machine not enough players. You will notice that there are NO $1.00 SS machines anymore. If fact you will find that there are very few $.50 cent regular slot machines anymore. But there's plenty of .1 & .5 cent machines and more all the time.

The collectors --especially the SS Club members --are in the casino's a few times a year, except maybe for a few that live in or can come to Las Vegas. And sell or trade the strikes. BUT THE TOURIST comes through the casinos' ALL THE TIME. The collectors will get only the strikes that they need, While most all the tourist doesn't especially care which strikes that they get.

I have talked to many a tourest at the strike machines. I bet you would be surprised at how many go out the door. So that their kids can have 1 or more or their kids and/or grandkids can play with them.

---So KEEP the silver strikes at $.25 if at all possible. Thats what's best for the SS program.---
