to hurricane Gustov and leave just when he had traveled SO FAR to pass by my place for as it turned out "a little" visit.

I decided to hang in there at my house to ride Gustov out. I knew that I lived in a hurricane zone. So I had built my house to withstand a hurricane and I put it up on high ground. I left for hurricane RITA --- (NOT KATRINA that's in & around New Orleans, LA & Biloxi, Miss -- at least 175 miles to 250 miles east from where I live) ---. I came back -- all I was going to have to due was change the roof singles and pick up some trees. Fired up the generator and waited for the electricty to return. I still had the normal natural gas & water service when I got back.

For Gustov -- I got 120 gal of gas for my generator, filled up the car, checked my army MRE's(left over from Rita) and other hurricane supplies(including some catfish & shrimp). Made sure the cattle prods was working(for the alligators) Checked my floaties & umbrellas for holes. -just in case - Then settled down for some wind & rain.

In the end Gustov decided he did not want to pass by for a visit with me and went farther to the north. After I waited for him SO LONG. All I got was about 1/2 to 1 inch of rain and a stiff breeze. Didn't loose the electricty, natural gas, or water. I enjoyed the breeze & fried up some fish & shrimp and celebrated he decided not to visit me. Gustov never was my favorite hurricane anyway.

O'Well I still got my gas, Army MRE's as well as my other hurricane supply's. I am waiting to see if IKE or some other hurricane decides to pass by my place for a visit.

A BIG THANK YOU to all who was concerned about how I was doing. It makes a person feel good to know that others is concerned and hoping for the best.

I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING EVERYBODY WHO GOES IN JANUARY TO THE 4-QUEENS TOURNAMENT. You all had better watch out. I am using this hurricane waiting time to practice & sharpen my slot tournment playing skills.
