The machine looked like any other slot. It was a single line, three reel machine with a "strike" as one of the reel stops. When you hit Strike Strike Strike, the machine froze and an attendant came over and asked if you would like the strike or $200 cash. I took the strike as I had never seen a $200 before and I only had $50 in the machine. The next year, again on the way to Lake Almanor, the machine was gone and they were selling the strike in the gift shop.

I wasn't a collector then, just liked to play strike machines. I would win Babe Ruths for my son. Unfortunatly, I let the kids play with the strike. So much for the HGE. I think I should have sold it when silver was $20. It is currently a coaster on my coffee table. Works great!!

By the way, where are the photos of the return of the LLWS champs?????
