Re: Looks like ebay is castrating itself
Jerry - First who is going to come up with the money to fight and sue ebay ? As far as Pay Pal goes at the present a seller can refuse to take Pay Pal and ebay doesn't say a thing at the present, what they are going to do is give a seller 1, 2, 0r 3 payment options to take(none being checks or money orders )and a buyer will have to use what the seller agrees to take (me it would be Pay Pal only becuse I already have an account ). Its like Dave and I said they are to big to fight and there isn't another auction site to compete with ebay. The only good thing I can say about Pay Pal is by taking it as payment it has brought me more sales than when I only took checks or money orders, I don't like the fees but I just raised my starting price to off set Pay Pal fees on cheaper items and figured the fees were part of using ebay and pay pal. I didn't like the lower listing fees and higher ending fees that ebay changed awhile back but I still use ebay to sell because there just insn't another place to sell my things. Also I belive most buyers prefer to use pay pal as it gets them the item a lot quicker.
My thoghts only
