I hate to break up the pace here by asking a question about Strikes, but I'm just a rebel at heart.
I've noticed that some strikes look like they have a different color on the rim. Some do look like bright brass or gold plated, while others do look more like copper color.
Is there any way to tell, besides just looking and guessing? Weight, or what?
I was wondering ablout this because I have found some copper and some "gold" coming out of the same machine, and wondered if they were just old, tarnished or different methods of making strikes.
Are older strikes much different in manufacture than the newer ones?
In the image the one on the left is copper colored and frosted, the one on the right is brass and shines.
