Upon the lauch of this message base it was touted and admired as an "open board." Now the reasons for rules and a moderator have made themselves quite evident. On topic is a phrase which rarely applies here. Abuse has become the norm. The solution? Certainly enforcing on topic discussions would be one. However since it's quite evident many or most want this type of public forum there is a second solution. Place menus in the system. Upon entering one would be deposited at a main menu with the following sub menu choices:

STRIKE INFORMATION - On topic discussions of strike information to include releases of new strikes, techincal questions and so forth.

CLUB NEWS - Club announcements such as tournaments, meetings, member comments, newsletter related items.

ADVERTISING - For sale lisings, Trade listings,
links to auctions, dealer hype. You know the stuff.

PERSONALS - Member to member communications. The perfect place for all the inter member hate and love letters.

If such a format were used one would not have to sift through all the garbage for strike information.
