Binnion's $200 silver & mint mark answers.

Yes there is no mint mark or .999 fine silver on the strike. However I'am looking at the "Sunshine" mint art work and in the "Dimensions-Finished size section are the following: Diameter 3.500 +/-.015 Thickness .312+/-.015 Edge serated W / Partial Smooth Material .999 FINE SILVER Demonination $200.00

The next section is ARTWORK APPROVALS which list SMI INC.-Phone 1-800-phone number (I don't want to post the number--so people won't be able make stupid phone calls to the mint) Tom Power---the date & intitals The Casinos-- print name--signature & date--PLUS GAMING Date and Initals !!!!

The 3rd and last section requiring approvals is titled "TOKEN APPROVALS" it has "SMI INC", CASINO & GAMING sections also with sign offs for all three.

So GAMING signed off and has approved the strike with .999 FINE SILVER content. And "Sunshine Mint" produced the strike--keep in mind "Sunshine Mint owns "GLOBAL MINT"--however the ARTWORK is on SMI INC paper work not Global's.

One other foot note--Gaming has to approval any changes to Silver Strikes--so you can assume there is still one Troy pound (12 Troy ounces) silver in the strike. Also there has been other $200.00 strikes released without .999 Fine Silver on the strike but they are .999 fine silver.

Last but not least--May be somebody should send a letter to NV Gaming Comm. requesting that the weight & .999 Fine Silver be required on all $200.00 strikes. Something like that would have more impact if it came from the "Silver Strikers" club.

Marvin Weaver requested that Gaming put the .999 Fine Silver on the $10.00 silver insert instead of the brass ring as brass is not silver. Gaming complied and all $10.00 strikes approved in 1997 and after had to make the change.

So thank-you Marvin.
