Re: Part 2 - HSP comments
In Response To: Part 2 - HSP comments ()

A great bit of research and tabulation here Dave, nice job. May I ask, how many responses does this represent? As one of the anonymous (emailed you direct) with a #4 reply, I'd like to clairify a little.
IMHO, most of the strikes have little if any artistic value and are therefore of interest to me primarily for their AG content. But...and this is a big but, there have been series that I would no doubt play for and/or buy on the bay even if they had only been HSP. The 4 that did make it into play from the Shadow Creek series comes to mind as well as some of the wildlife strikes, and the RNO Hilton's Nat'l Park series are just a few examples. I was positively crushed when the Bellagaio (or however it's spelled...) left the program after getting approval for holes 4, 5 and 6. They are amoung my favorites and I WOULD aquire the rest of the set even if only HSP.
My first strike was from the Luxor and I now have a complete set and continue to work of completing sets from other casinos. Especially McCarren but...
Bottom line, if it's not a "hard asset" then it better be very pleasing to the eye and not just a dam boot, cowboy and/or horse, casino exterior--or worse yet, some casino founders (God bless 'em) picture!
