All upper case is harder to read, not easier. Proven in scientific studies, way before BBS and computers.

Cigarette smoking has been proven to be hazardous to your health but I have never told someone(other than my kids) that they couldn't smoke.

Yes, it's considered manners, and rude and shouting, but some people just want to argue for the sake of argument.

I never heard it was rude to pick up my steak with my fingers, slurp my soup, or wipe my hands on the table cloth, so by your arguments and logic, IT'S OK THEN!

Once again, let the masses decide what is rude, not just an isolated few.

Just consider the polite request that typing in mixed case is much easier to read, and considered proper bulletin board manners. Just think of how easy it would have been to just pop that caps lock key and get on with something of substance and interest, instead of creating a huge debate over nothing.

I agree that mixed case is much easier to read, I have never argued that it wasn't.I was told to stop using CAPS. If it is such bad manners why not get me thrown off the bulletin board. If using CAPS is nothing, how did all this get started.

This is very well said and I wish everybody (100% of us) would abide by that.
