Re: 5pm release
Jeff, I do collect Silver Strikes because of the bullion in the strikes as well as the designs. If the casino's are having a problem with the cost of the minting of a $10 Silver Strike, then let them go to $20's or $40 Strikes. I for one will stop collecting and playing for Silver Strikes if the Casino's are going to go to Silver Plating. I have been a coin collector for over 20 years and that is the reason I started collecting Silver Strikes, because of the bullion. About 5-6 years ago when the Mirage came out with the $40 Danny Gans Strikes, I met a man and his wife who were from North Dakota and they were playing the strike machine next to me and we began to talk about the $40 Silver Strikes. He told me that he is not a Silver Strike collector and he only plays the machines to win them because of the bullion that is in a Silver Strike. He also stated that when our dollar isn't worth anything he will have the Silver Bullion that is in a Silver Strike to feed his family. When I look at what is taking place in this country now, how wrong could this gentleman have been? I really enjoy playing for and collecting Silver Strikes, but if they are not going to be .999 FINE SILVER with at least .6 oz. of pure Silver in them, then I am done collecting. This is my 2 grams worth.
