Tarl - If you take a U.S.Coin and hold it by its sides heads up and then rotate it from top to bottom its reverse sid will come up right side up, this is Coin Aligned, if you take a strike and hold it the same way and do the same thing the reverse will come up Upside down,this is called Medal aligned and this is the way normal strikes are made, only a very few have been made coin aligned and are the errors.
