Re: Frosted Strikes
In Response To: Re: Frosted Strikes ()

Yes and I hope you understand that I wasn't saying you are wrong. grin Just ask any coin or token collector and we'll both get the same answers, at first the strikes are frosted and later they get shiny.

It's just that these are far more different, than alike. The rings are different colors, the strikes are only "frosted" on the raised parts, while the background is sharp. Maybe they polished that portion.

As for recycled, no doubt about it, especially in Elko. Except for some crazy people (myself included) most will take the $20 cash, instead of a silver and brass slug. ;-)

Now and then I'll have a friend say something to the effect, "hey, this guy even collects casino chips!" as if I'm some sort of nut cake. But I add that it's the fastest growing numismatic related hobby and the club has over 5,000 members who collect everything from chips, to dice. From room keys, to slot cards. From used keno tickets, and coin buckets to swizzle sticks.

On a related note, if anyone has these extensions as their service provider, you can read, and write messages on the collecting area of Prodigy. For best service, stick to these BBs for anything casino related, but for anything else, please come visit.
