I'm lucky in that not many customers are in Hawaii. I don't have to charge our 4 1/2% tax on anything I ship out of state. But you better believe that if someone in Hawaii buys, I charge the tax and I pay the tax. The IRS is one entity you do not want to mess with. When you pay me, you are paying Shop and Ship Hawaii LLC, and the money goes into a business account. I have turned down offers from friends to pay "cash" so I don't have to report it. Ask anyone, when you get a strike, you get a Quickbooks receipt from Shop and Ship, whether it's eBay or the Candy Store. There is no fraud in that.
