I too used to be a coin collector for many years and I hope that grading never becomes a part of silver strikes collecting. That's not to say that an accurate description of tarnished, pitting, or abused marks through improper handling of silver strikes should not be mentioned when offered for sale... or such descriptive terms such as frosted, etc. be mentioned. I sincerely hope that you were not referring to an official numerical grading scale in your post. If so; the day that happens is the day I'll quit collecting them forever.
