Does anyone know the origin of the Sam's Town 1oz. silver rounds, with Sam Boyd 1910-1993 on one side, and the Pony Express, Stagecoach, and Sam't Town on the other? Were they given out for a special occasion? Were they bought in the gift shop? Part of a promotion?

Any info would be greatly appreciated. They are listed in Bill Cohenour's guide under Related Nevada Tokens...
