Four Queens $200 and redcap report
Fellow silver striker Jim Kingwell and I left Southern California on Wednesday morning at 6 am or so and arrived in Las Vegas around 10 am. There were a few clear caps in the Four Queens machines but no redcaps. We went to lunch at the Ellis Island ande had a great steak special ($6.95).....BETTER THAN GOOD....then back to the QQQQs to find clear caps and redcaps in both machines. We played and played and did ok. We were told that private collectors had turned in the clear caps so that the red caps could be put in play....(the factory order had not arrived) THANKS to the silver strikers that helped out...Thursday the clear caps arrived in the afternoon along with the $200s so all was well....except for the collectors that occupied the machines for hours....there were a few people that had to wait or forget it...that was the only negative....too few machines and too many players..Friday morning found the machines busy again and at 10 am, the QQQQs issued the $200s....Very orderly crowd and I think everyone got the strikes they needed to get their $200....I saw happy faces everywhere...When we left for SoCal at 11 am, there were 8 $200s left in the cage. I understand that all are gone now....I saw so many friends and collectors (way too many to mention). I think three people will become new members and I passed out lots of applications and Newsletters...GOOD news is that Binions (across the street from the QQQQs) will have a new 8-8-8 $200 out in August and Binions (across the street) will have their machines up in a few weeks. I have an extra new $200 to trade for another $200 I need or want....send me a scan of any offers....thanks Jim Munding
