Thanks to all who answered my question about Tunica Silver Strikes. None of the casinos I visited (Fitzgeralds, Isle of Capri, and Grand) had strikes available for sale in the cage. The machine at Sam’s Town returned eight strikes for ten rolls of quarters (the bill changer was out of order). What surprised me was that all eight were different, three in the Western Series {panning for gold, stage coach, and steam engine train on bridge), three in the 5th anniversary series, which I think is the newest series {riverboat, Tom and Huck, and Huckleberry Finn}, and my personal favorite - Marilyn Monroe. The surprise of the lot was one from the Hollywood Casino {Hollywood Classics, running clown}.
A few quick questions for the group. Is eight strikes for $100 a good return? How many different strikes exist for each of these series {I know there was a Tom Sawyer strike on display which I didn’t get}? Is it very unusual to get a strike from a different casino out of the machine? Is it common to get such a variety from one machine? Where can I get a replacement plastic case, one of the strikes has a broken case which leaves about 25% of the rim exposed? Are there any pearls in the lot?
Thanks and good luck to all of you going to Vegas.
