A few things I can tell you about the machine. First, the IKE was a modification made to the machine. Ike dollars were not minted until 1971. I assume the machine had a short production run because it was designed right as Silver Dollars were dissapearing from Nevada (1965 ish).I would believe it was concepted to pay out morgan and peace dollars and was scrapped after a short production run because of the Silver Dollars becoming valued at over $1. The machine probably ended up in a backroom somewhere and sometime during the 70's someone decided to rescue it and make it operable with Ike Dollars. Just my opinions, I have no direct knowledge of the machine itself.
