Lesson, PAY ATTENTION TO THE SURRENDER POINTS. I got the email with everyone's picks, and see a ton of surrenders. For the life of me I couldn't figure out why so many people surrendered. Well, after booting up my laptop (I was on vacation when the email came in) to read the surrender points, if you surrendered, you got almost as many points as if you picked two to be eliminated and the rest safe (72 versus 64). For an 8 point difference, it is clear why almost 1/3 surrendered....the risk wasn't worth the reward. Francisco picked the correct one eliminated, and he got only the same as a surrender, 64....I will not be caught sleeping again, I'm back home with my calculator and ready to get back in the race! For those who didn't catch it like me, do the math next time!
