A silver clad token is no more a silver strike than a HGE plated $40 Silver Strike is a Gold strike.
One reason that people collect Silver Strikes is the Value of the strike.
A clad token 50 years after the casino closes is not going to be worth much more than an old $1.00 slot token. I might be interested in collecting clad tokens but not at a $10 face value. $2 or $3 is the most that I would think that they are worth. That would require a whole new chip set for the machine and the casinos want to get away from tokens all together. I think that you would lose more collectors with a clad token than would be priced out of collecting with a higher value strike.
